I have been to many gyms in my life and I can honestly say this is by far the best gym I've joined. I don't even call it a gym i call it a "health club resort" Lifetime has not only met my basic requirements in a gym (24/7 access, modern equipment, steam, sauna, pool and jacuzzi, month to month membership) but they have also far exceeded my expectations. There are a few down sides which I will list below... First the pros... 1.) Appearance - immediately I was wowed by how clean and luxurious this club is. Lobby has very plush leather furniture and chairs to relax and watch tv after an intense work out. The locker room is very clean and tidy. 2.) Staff - the staff that I've encountered in the first month since I've joined all seem to be very friendly and accommodating. When I was at the cafe recently the manager came up to me to ask me how was everything and if there's anything he can do to make my experience even better. 3.) Equipment - very modern and plenty of cardio machines to use with personal TV viewing which I find very convenient. Definitely makes my daily 5 mile runs go by smoothly. 4.) Cafe - I really love that there's a healthy organic cafe available. I do find the selection to be great tasting but a bit overpriced. Then again anything healthy and organic would be. 5.) Locker room area - love the fact that they have individual private shower stalls available fully stocked. After a workout I can now shower in complete privacy and get dressed rather than have to drive 10 miles back at home to do so. Plenty of stocked towels to use as well as very clean vanity area to get ready for the day. I did try the hairspray they have but boy did it sting !!! It felt like my scalp was on fire for a few seconds. Lockers are programmable to set your own 4 digit lock using your membership card. 6.) Spa / pool area - this area is always a must for my list of gym needs. After a work out I spend an average an hour in these areas. That's the case with most average gyms, but since lifetime is above average I find myself staying 2-4 hours at this section at lifetime athletic. They have both indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzi area which is 24/7. It's really great that I have this option. On a nice sunny day I'll be at the outdoor jacuzzi then head to the lounge chairs or cabana areas to just relax. For the amount of money people pay here it really justifies the extra time spent here. It's very relaxing and good to know there's always lifeguards on staff at all times. The sauna and eucalyptus steam room is my favorite too. I do find them to be a little small and not co-ed but no worries. There is also a great outdoor bar and restaurant lounge area all the way in the back. Very nice option to have to sit by the fireplace pit section and just chill Now the cons ... 1.) Price - what they charge a month here is equivalent to nearly 5 months at other gyms. I also didn't like how I had to pay nearly $200 when I first joined up to get started in addition to the monthly fee. You do get $300 in lifetime bucks out of it though so at least I can use it. I also don't like how it'll cost $60 to freeze my membership if needed and that you need 30 days notice to do so. I sure wish they have more locations near the strip one day since I live by there and in addition to the membership fees I have to factor in other costs like gas for the traveling 20 miles total each time to go there. As you can see from my detailed review the pros far out weight the cons for this place. Given that this place is very luxurious I find the costs associated with being a member a justified expense.
