Ambiance was much better than the actual food here. Service was good-attentive & quick. I really wanted to like this place, but overall, wasn't impressed! 1.) Chicken pho was not made w chicken broth! I order chicken pho specifically for that reason. Instead, they use beef broth. I know this isn't a 'strictly pho' joint, so they probably use the same broth for all of their phos. 2.) Oxtail fried rice was too mushy & wet for my liking. I like my fried rice drier in texture & this seemed almost porridge like..something was missing in flavor too. There was a good amount of oxtail meat though! 3.) Whole grilled squid-probably the best out of the 3 dishes we (bf & I) tried. The spicy aioli was okay, but I would have preferred this dish w ponzu. There are probably dishes here that are good/better, but I don't think I will be running back here anytime soon to find out. P.S. I have used Yelp for yrs but never wrote my own reviews..decided to start tonight...proud to say this is my first review on here-woot :)
