I have been to the Whitewater Center 3 times since moving to Charlotte 2 months ago.
It's an awesome venue that Charlotte can be really proud of. The pricing for activities as well as food/beverages is reasonable. Even you don't participate in the activities, it's great for people and dog watching, and you can feel the energy in the air. The staff is friendly and helpful.
For food and beverage options, we tried both Pump House and River's Edge Bar & Grill and had no complaint. Food came out pretty quick considering the crowd.
I would recommend going before noon on weekends (they open at 10AM) as it gets pretty busy as the day goes on. We might have waited 35-45 minutes on the stairs for the zip line, wearing the super heavy gear.
