As I mentioned in other reviews, the concept of an escape room is that you and a group of your friends are placed into a room and you have an hour to solve puzzles together and figure out how to escape. Good for teambuilding and all around fun.
This is a new, very cool escape room in Cleveland. The one caveat is that it's not really an escape room per se because you are not actually escaping the room. Instead, you are trying to solve clues that will lead you to the location of a hidden document (this is all explained to you before you enter the room). However it does have all of the elements of an escape room - the puzzles, the time limit of one hour, etc.
I really liked the flow of the puzzles in this room and things happened in a very logical, linear fashion, until a certain point in the game at which several puzzles opened up at once, allowing teams to divide and conquer. There was plenty of stuff for everyone to do throughout, and everyone participated. Because it is new, however, there are a couple of kinks that they are trying to work out. The main issues we had were: (1) There is a cheap way to win without solving all of the puzzles. (2) There was a technical issue that they are trying to work out which forced the owner to be in the room with you to watch at a certain point in the game. (3) You didn't escape, you found the document instead.
All in all, a good room to check out.
