So I've now been a member for a few years at Mayfair Laekshore and although I would generally give it high marks for working out there are a few issues with this location.
1) Their cleaning staff is ATROCIOUS. Absolutely comical to watch them so called 'cleaning'. You can see cobwebs in some of the equipment before and pretty much all they do is take two hours to clean out a few garbage receptacles.
2) Every summer break it pretty much becomes a daycare as everything but the gym itself gets taken over by kids. Pretty much forget about using the pool.
3) Always some kind of renovation going on. Always. I do mean this. Bad enough but then the time of completion estimates are always WILDLY OPTIMISTIC !!!! Took tons of time renovating the gym and now the same I'm sure goes for the tennis courts.
When one hands over as much cash as we do one expects a higher quality of availability for sure. What makes matters worse is that you will NEVER EVER GET A DISCOUNT or anything like that. They just offer to put your membership on hold or goto another location miles and miles away.
4) They've gotten a new kitchen manager and one would swear that he used to run a prison camp or something as it is just ridiculously run with rules all over he place. Example. Came in one day at 12:10 and was told they couldn't make me oatmeal as it is only served until noon. We are talking oatmeal guys. It comes in a packet and takes all of a minute to prepare !!! He obviously doesn't care one lick about customer satisfaction. Miss the old manager Bill very much as he was THE OPPOSITE !!
Beyond this the staff is absolutely AMAZING and will bend over backwards to please. Very very polite at all times !
