This store has great Yelp reviews, but the reviews pertain mostly to its party rental business. The business also rents a variety of machinery and, the subject of this review, sell and service lawnmowers and the like.
I'm the proud owner of a Honda lawnmower, purchased cheaply online, free delivery. Perfect until something goes wrong. The starter cable broke and, interestingly, in a design flaw you wouldn't expect from Honda, was causing unusual wear in the mechanism. I searched for an authorized repair facility, loaded the mower in the car and drove to A-Z.
The parts guy wandered out to the car and to take a look rather than making me unload it. He suggested I could repair it myself with the purchase of a $13 module. Great! When he noted the unusual wear, he the volunteered to pop it in for me for free. Greater still! When installing, he chose a different module that wouldn't wear so badly. Even more great! When the repair was complete, he waived all charges, since it was the type of problem that should never happen. Greatness deserving of a five star Yelp review, you think?
It was a relatively new mower, perhaps still under warranty, but I had no documentation. I would not have been shocked to pay a $100 repair bill and be without a mower for 3-4 days. Instead, my wallet never left my pocket and I was on my way home with my mower after 45 minutes.
