I would not recommend The Melting Pot unless money is no object. I bought a Deal Chicken deal for $99 because as a single mom I thought it would be a great experience for my children but not break my bank. I was wrong. My so called "deal" wound up costing me $218.00!!!!! With my Deal Chicken I was to get one bottle of wine. The waitress told me I could either order 2 bottles of the cheaper wine or one bottle of up to a $50 value. I picked out a $48 bottle and asked her if this would be ok and she said yes. WRONG! I was charged an additional $48 for the bottle of wine which of course increased the tax and gratuity. When I asked her why I was charged for the wine when it was suppose to be included she didn't really give me a clear answer and said she had explained it the way they were told to explain it. WHAT??????? I don't normally buy alcohol when I go out due to the over inflated prices so had I known I was going to have to pay $48 out of pocket for a bottle of wine I NEVER would have bought it in the first place! I like the restaurant but would never go back unless someone else is footing the bill and would NEVER buy another "deal".
