Great hotel! It is part of the Starwod Properties and Le Meridien is definitely on the nicer end of their line. The rooms were a bit on the small side, but everything else about it is luxurious. Plush soft robes, amazing bedding, sheets + pillows, and high quality bath toiletries. Concierge is very friendly and helpful, straightforward--but not too brusque in a french-y way. Valet parking ran about $25 USD I think, but worth it because we didn't see alot of garages in the neighborhood, only street metered parking was available. Breakfast was very good, had all the american staples. This place is definitely worth the splurge. SItuated on the quieter side of the city (think upper east side), it is just about a 5 minute drive from the foot of Mont Royal. The street is lined with art galleries, other hotels/inns, and many little cute boutiques. Just one block down is much more bustling, with lots of restuarants and shops. Very close to the metro. This was my first time in Montreal, and I absolutely loved it. Perfect hybrid of NYC and Paris.
