I had a really fantastic experience with Via Vai. I celebrated my birthday at the venue this past summer, and the team was amazingly accommodating. We went in a couple of times to taste the food and put together a custom cocktail for the event, really going above and beyond what other places would do (aka just taking your reservation and charging you a minimum of $50 a head!)
The day of the event ran really smoothly. Food came out promptly, and they were so kind as to provide a round of champagne on the house for a birthday toast.
I would tend to agree with other reviewers that the food is not the BEST (if you're looking to truly amazing Italian food, hit up Enoteca Sociale), however it is still generally good food and priced fairly. For me and my birthday experience, what they lacked in flavour, they more than made up for in service and overall experience.
THE BOTTOM LINE: though the food falls short of other very popular Italian spots, had a birthday experience that will keep me coming back!
