I had a haircut with senior stylist Emily and was very pleased with my experience. She did a great job on my shoulder length layered bob for my thick dark hair which dries beautiful with just air dry and was the perfect, low maintenance cut I was looking for.
Pros
- Wonderful, professional, friendly service which Emily carefully listened during the consult, made good suggestions (she offered a couple suggestions on how my hair could be layered with the pros/cons of each)
- Two head massages! After the consult, they do a dry oil head massage which was wonderful as well as a head massage during the wash
- Offered beverages throughout - I had a cappuccino which was a nice touch
- Appointment was on time, hair cut was good and Emily took great care in ensuring the cut was even and I was happy with it throughout
Cons
- I can't really think of anything specific except perhaps while the price point of the haircut ($80) is comparable to what you'd paid in Toronto, when you start to go about the $75 mark, it gets very competitive and you can get a very good similar hair cut at other nearby salons at around the $80 price point
- The only other con I can think of is sometimes when you call in, someone doesn't always answer and the phone tag can get a bit annoying. However, I've found e-mail is pretty reliable and they'll e-mail you back within the day.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at this salon and with the haircut - would highly recommend Emily who was friendly, approachable and most of all, did a great job with my haircut!
