Wow and double wow! I just saw a wonderful parlor size "close up" illusion show starring Craig Davis and Myryka. Craig has broken new ground with his show because of the intimate size of the theater. There are only 65 seats and they are all very close up. You really get the feeling you are on the stage of a grand illusion show. This was a new experience for me and is a pretty wonderful thing for the world of magic. I love the concept of an intimate close up illusion show.
The Cattle Track theater has a wonderful stage and lighting and is located in an upscale art colony in Scottsdale just north of McDonald and east of Scottsdale Road on a road called Cattle Track. Craig calls his show a "Circus of Illusion." John Fitsimmons opened the show with his brilliant comedy magic.
Then Craig Davis comes out with his juggling, and grand illusions. His illusion partner, Myryka, in 2006, won the international competition for "Belly Dancer of the Universe" held in Eygpt. She does a solo belly dance that is amazing. She also performs an acrobatic piece later in the show.
I'm happy to report that Scottsdale now has a really great magic show worth seeing.
Craig and Myryka will be performing at the Cattle Track Theater every week for the next two months. It is a family oriented special treat.
