I usually love the movie selection here and location is perfect. From there, everything goes down hill. Just went to a matinee today. Parking is a nightmare! Got there at 1:15 for a 1:30 show. 10 people ahead of me in line...so, so slow! Took 15 minutes to get tickets. Unacceptable. Then to the concession stand. Two lines and about 3 people in each line...took another 15 minutes to get to the counter. I order popcorn. "Can you wait 5 minutes...we're out of popcorn?" WTF! NO! Got into the theater just as the movie was starting. You really need to arrive about 30-45 minutes before the showtime, which is unacceptable.
Inside a disaster. The lobby had dead vines dangling down from the 2nd story balcony. This place hasn't been touched since the 1970's. So sad! So much wasted potential! This is the prime location in all of Charlotte and we are stuck with a decaying, outdated theater from the 70's with no historical significance. Why can't Regal renovate this and make it into a proper showcase?
