I had such a nice first visit here today! I found the service super chill and friendly and helpful, and I liked the look and feel of the bar a lot. Lots of beautiful wood and nice layout with big communal tables, small private corners and lots of space for the gangs of students that I'm sure cram in here. We were there on a Saturday afternoon so there was a nice mix of people reading or working on laptops, couples hanging out, groups of friends, etc and it kept filling up over the 2 hours we were there.
There was a nice collection of beers, though a few more smaller local brews would be fun additions. The poutine with deep fried jalapenos I tried was tasty, good fries, and the heat from the peppers cut the gravy nicely. Not amaaazing brown gravy, but totally tasty. I'll definitely come back, I liked the vibe, and the fish and chips at the other table looked like something I could sink my teeth into...
