My brother who is visiting from Australia is a HUGE cold stone creamery fan. After the very saddening Closure of Cold Stone Creamery, we set out on an ice-cream expedition.
Enter Marble Slab Creamery--the long lost brother of Cold Stone (at least I wasn't aware of it's existence). The concept is exactly the same...you choose an ice-cream base and then add UNLIMITED (unlike Cold Stone) mix-ins.
The result? My brother and I are ADDICTED! The ice cream is amazing!! And the fact that you can add UNLIMITED mix-ins is phenomenal! Love it!! I tried the "Island Breeze" (strawberry banana) smoothie, which was also amazing!!
The only complaint I have is that the cookie dough could be better (yes, I'm a huge cookie dough fan). Also, on one occasion the chocolate toppings we got (snickers and kit-kat) were not as fresh.
The associates and service is phenomenal! And the 25% off Yelpers get is a sweet offer. :)
But overall the place is a must try, especially if you loved Cold Stone!! Make sure you don't get a brain freeze!
