My husband and I lived at Autumn Ridge/Latitude for over 3 years and have become very DISAPPOINTED. I'll admit that the new management is nicer and has improved the premises, but they can't fix the damage that has already been done here. Can you tell just by the pictures that ALL THEIR MONEY GOES TOWARDS MAKING THE PREMISES SEEM MORE APPEALING to the public and their prospect residents? Don't get sucked into it. There's still tons of CRIME here and kids run out in front of my car almost daily - Where are their parents? The new gym is already trashed - Equipment broken and busted. Unsupervised, loud kids are always running in and out of the gym. The maintenance men speed around in their carts without any caution whatsoever and I constantly hear YELLING or CRYING in apartments nearby. Let's not mention the reckless crack heads speeding around in their Mustangs almost hitting other cars (including mine). I'm not surprised the covered parking cover fell over. Latitude finally fixed it, but it took them several weeks. I've had countless things STOLEN from my patio. When I requested to put up a screen or see-through curtain, Latitude told me "You can't put anything up. Don't put anything out there that you don't want stolen." That's real helpful - so I'm just supposed to throw away all my plants that I've invested my time in?? I've already had to get rid of my valuable porch items. The mail room is constantly being BROKEN INTO even though the door has a lock on it. The whole right wall of boxes were pried off the wall. They replaced the metal, but this is an ongoing issue. A man is always DIGGING THROUGH THE TRASH. AGGRESSIVE DOGS live here and CATS ROAM freely. I love animals, but not when they're coming after my own dog. There are cat and dog FECES everywhere because people don't pick up after their pets. SPRINKLERS BUST AND FLOOD the grass just about every 3-6 weeks; The area is INFESTED WITH MOSQUITOS. I'm tempted to wear sweatpants and long sleeves every time I walk my dog. Management rarely answers the phones unless you call 20-40 times, which I do every time I call. They finally answer and sound annoyed. If you go up to the office in person, there's usually a long line or an angry resident CUSSING at the staff members. We've had 2 MURDERS since we've lived here and a member from ICIS lived here and SHOT PEOPLE in Texas. My husband's convertible top was SLASHED in half in the middle of the night. I've even had strange men approach me at night while I walk my dog before bed. They have tried flirting with me, asking me for money or asking if I carry weapons and that I should because I am "beautiful." Now my husband walks with me since it's not safe. They really need to tear this place down and start over from the bottom up since it's infested. Increasing their prices will get all the GHETTO people out, but will it fix the underlying issues? I think not. The place is INFESTED with SCORPIONS and ANTS. My dog is older has been stung twice by scorpions already - She still has seizures from it. The place isn't sealed well and the ants were all over my kitchen and inside my cabinets. I had to throw just about everything away. We don't leave food out either - I'm actually a super clean person. I was MORTIFIED to come home and find my kitchen CRAWLING with ants. MAINTENANCE NEVER CAME. The office never sent an exterminator or even returned my messages. Maintenance takes a month or two to handle requests unless it's an "emergency". Our AC went out for over a month and they put a little SWAMP COOLER in our living room to "fix" the problem. WE SLEPT ON OUR COUCH FOR A WEEK since the swamp cooler only cools that one room, but it was still too hot and scorpions were coming out even more than usual. We had no other choice but to STAY WITH RELATIVES until our AC unit was replaced. The new AC unit still FREEZES UP and LEAKS FLUID onto our "wooden" floors (which have been CRACKING AND PEELING from it). There has been a FIRE across from us and all the residents were FORCED to live elsewhere. They even tried CHARGING us extra MONEY after we moved out for "forced insurance" even though we had insurance until the day AFTER our LEASE WAS UP on the CONTRACT. I can go on and on about Autumn Ridge/Latitude, but honestly, don't let them fool you. The new staff is friendly, but like I said - It's a PROBLEM that cannot be fixed. I wish I would've taken pictures of everything from the start. Boy would we have a story. Keep in mind, we MOVED OUT EARLY because we felt it was NOT SAFE FOR OUR HEALTH to live there. My husband's ALLERGIES WERE SEVERE and he always had FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS. We MOVED OUT 2 months EARLY and STILL PAID RENT LIKE DECENT PEOPLE. We didn't want problems, we JUST WANTED OUT. It's not a coincidence that he's completely healed now that we are away from that filth and our dog has less seizures. Also, I'm in a better mood. I am happy to say that we are healthy again now that we are away from that apartment complex.
