I have stayed at this hotel for several years when it used to be a Best Western. It seemed like they had started to renovate and update the rooms the last time we were here but apparently that didn't continue. We were in town for a concert at Talking Stick and decided to stay here. Customer service, as many have pointed out, was great. We were checked in quickly and effortlessly, given a guide to our room and we were on our way. Our room was pretty spacious which was nice but overall just looked tired. We had a nice king sized bed with terrible flat pillows, clean room and bathroom but with a leaky toilet that kept a puddle on the floor the whole time and frayed old towels. We had plans to go out so we stopped in at the hotel bar before leaving and that was off too. The bartender was very friendly, however there are no beers on tap and a pretty limited selection of alcohol. I know the bar has been on the premises for some time but it seemed like it had either just opened or was about to be shuttered for good. The grounds still look great but I hope they put a little more work into the rest of the hotel because we have always enjoyed staying here.
