Once upon a time an angry bird decided to smash two windshields with one stone. And I was one of the unlucky recipients.
I purchased a Groupon for a windshield replacement because of this and like most things in my life, I waited till the last minute to use it. When I called to book an appointment with Cal-Alta Auto Glass, the receptionist was super busy and put me on hold twice, but came back to let me know that she didn't forget about me, just had a lot going on. She was so friendly, I had no issue with this (plus I imagine that like myself, many others were getting in at the last minute to use that groupon as well).
Today I dropped off my car and they told me not to go anywhere as they would get to it right away. You know when you meet someone and they just exude genuine friendliness? This is Cal-Alta's receptionist. Seriously, she included everyone in the waiting room in her conversations and carried herself with such joie de vivre. Plus, someone commented on her nails and she right away started promoting a local nail place she had just visited. I liked that she was a fan of a neighborhood business and would promote them with nothing in it for herself.
True to their word about getting to my car right away, my windshield was replaced within 45 minutes (they do tell you an hour and a half on the phone) and everyone that worked at this establishment that I interacted with was super friendly. It had a real family owned feeling to it. Although I lucked out with the Groupon, I know the next time I have a cracked windshield I will come to Cal-Alta to have it replaced and recommend every one do the same.
And the bird that did this? He better watch out.
