I have been able to pretty much prove my theory that the quality of a Vegas hotel and casino is directly proportional to the quality of its cocktail waitresses. If the cocktail waitress looks like she jumped straight out of the pages of a magazine, you're bound to be impressed by the quality of the rest of the place's features. If the cocktail waitresses look like a typical Midwestern housewife, run. The Treasure Island cocktail waitresses, and therefore our overall satisfaction with the place, weren't horrible, but definitely not up to par with what you'd expect. Every place on the strip has shops that dot their floorplans. Treasure Island featured such lavish shops as: "Everything's $10 Boutique" and "Bling Co" -- a luxurious jewlery boutique that exclusively showcases items in cubic zirconia. Maybe the fact that they permanently house a Cirque du Soleil show, Mystere, would be their saving grace. Oh wait, I forgot that the show orginally debuted in 1993, making it a full 16 years old! It's pathetic that its proximity to other Vegas properties is about the only thing this place has going on.
