As a renter, I really enjoyed my time at The Carlyle.
Once I got over the giant list of rules, it was a peaceful, beautiful, quiet place to call home for 2 and half years. I really enjoyed my time here.
Things that were great:
* The beautiful view of the lake was always changing
* Every unit has a balcony
* Everyone is very well behaved and polite
* The bodega in the basement that had just what you needed and awesome wine selection
* 24-hour front desk for security and signed packages
Things that were not great:
* The elevators seemed to be constantly in a state of disrepair and took forever to come sometimes
* Ok, sometimes the rules were a little ridiculous. You couldn't put a nail in the wall without security knocking on your door.
* I wish the parking lot had reserved spaces
Overall, I recommend this place 100% for renters.
