Whoa buddy! This new kid on the block is definitely making waves (in a good way). Every since the departure of the Common Market from SouthEnd, there seems to be a rather large void to fill. There are some places that have stepped up to the plate, but as far as having a cool vibe that you can hang out in, some fell short. Lincoln's Haberdashery definitely took its sweet time opening up... I remember looking at the flyer pasted windows and doors and wondering "when will they ever open" But I see why it took a while to put together this greatness in a location. The space is gorgeous... there's a ton of things to see and multi-levels. Lots of nooks and corners for you to loose yourself in a book, or get some work done. The food is pretty amazing. I tried their Darning Egg and it was pretty darn tasty (pun/corni-ness intended). I need to try the rest of the menu here from their morning options to sandwiches and salads. I think they are still figuring out their "groove" in the kitchen so it may have resulted in longer kitchen to table times, but... relax in the gorgeous space and enjoy the extra time with friends or yourself. The staffers are super nice and they were just about to get hit with the Saturday brunch crowd when I got there. They were doing their best to keep the tables bused and wiped down, but still stopping in and making sure the food was delicious and that we were happy. There was a line when we left, but I would think it's worth the wait (IMO). There's also something satisfying about being old and able to get up early so that I "miss" the lines (old people cane/fist pump in the air).
