While I do not like beer, I did go on the tour of the Steam Whistle Brewing Company with my boyfriend and had a good time. They are very enviro friendly and art friendly and had an interesting exhibit of artwork of drummers in different types of bands.
The minute you walk in, you get a free sample (which is a decent size) and then they give you a "coupon" for another sample. The tour is pretty good, but our guide seemed very very very nervous. Once you go through the tour, you get to pick up your "present" depending on what level tour you got. The souvenir glasses are cute! As is the water tower just outside the brewery.
