Yum!
Came here departing from the Vegas scene early Sunday morning hoping to break away from the general Starbucks and try some place local. They're close to the McCarran Airport and open 7am-7pm daily. That's a really good deal for travelers and locals.
Friends went the night before and got their Waffle Shots and just raved about Coffee Hunters so I knew I had to bookmark the place and try them out. Apparently this was featured either on the Food Network or the Travel channel...something like that but I wasn't aware. In case you didn't know, the waffle shots aren't boozy. Hehe. They're small waffle cone cups lined with chocolate, filled with ice cream and served with shots of espresso for you to pour over. Ohh....
Not feeling such a treat and wanting a light breakfast and a pick me up instead, we opted for some lattes (hot and iced), a cronut, and portobello mushroom and chicken pasty. Also I'd like to add that they use almond milk (or they can substitute for coconut milk) in their drinks so if you're not used to the taste or lactose intolerant, you know now. I was wondering why I didn't get a stomach ache and am grateful for this. The apple pie cronut that I ordered was not overly sweet. There was apple pie filling throughout the cronut (middle layers and on top) and dipped into a thin layer of donut frosting. Not too sweet--just the way I like it. They have a bunch of other flavors too but this piqued my interest. Their pasties are baked to order and take some time and is worth the wait. Ours came with a marinara sauce to dip in and you could eat with or without. The sauce does add a little fresh tomato flavor to the pasty so add if you like.
There are plenty of tables with many wall plugs for charging your devices so kudos to them! Wifi is free and the password is on their blackboard menu. Decor is minimal and modern. They do have cold brew options in regular and coconut cold brew. They also have stamp cards so we will be back next time we are in Vegas. Do try this place out.
