My friends warned me about the foodie fest, but I went anyways. After the first 30 min of walking around, I regret not listening to them. The Great American Foodie Fest happens every year. Food trucks from all over station themselves at the Sunset Station Casino to sell overpriced food and drinks, which is expected at most foodie festivals. I purchased a watermelon lemon frost and sipped on that as we walked down the food truck aisles. The Okamoto Kitchen from LA was a favorite amongst my friends. I didn't end up buying anything since I wasn't hungry. It was a waste of an admission fee (~$9 presale) but nothing really caught my eye. The admission fee was good for admission for all four days (Th-Sun). Fuku Burger was giving away comp tickets with a purchase of a burger. There were also carnival games and rides which were a great addition for kids and those who wanted to win prizes. Unfortunately, my friends and I agreed that the festival was a huge disappointment and we won't be returning next year.
