My friend told me about this place and since she can't have dairy we thought we'd check it out since we LOVE Seven Lives Tacos. I was really excited to try this and I really wanted to like it but based on what I had (the mangonada $5), I could only give it 3 stars. The decor is really cute with cut paper hanging from the ceiling and little Mexican wall decorations. The servers were nice and cheery and they played awesome music that was basically the soundtrack of my high school life. So my friend ordered the pineapple colada sundae and I wanted to order the same with mango ice cream but they were out so I picked the next thing that had mango in it which happened to be the mangonada. The description was mango juice and mango sorbet with chamay which I didn't know until after that it was like spicy salty seasoning. It came with a candy covered straw that was pretty good but I think the salty/spicy/sweet combo didn't really sit too well with me. Half the time I was eating it I was confused whether or not I liked it. I like the juice and the sorbet and the mango bits but the salty/spicy part was a no go for me. My friend's colada sundae was pretty good tho. They had some pretty interesting Popsicle flavours like guava dulce de leche and fruit loops so I will most likely be back to try those. Worst case I can just go and get some awesome tacos across the street.
