Ate here tonight. For a four top, it was about $75, not too bad! Ordered 3 burgers and a rib platter. Service was terrible as the server didn't bother to write down the orders. One person ordered a full slab of ribs with extra sauce on the side, received only half a slab and no extra sauce. One person ordered a burger with fries, received a salad. Third person ordered a green chili burger with fries and fries were half done. I ordered a double cheese burger with fries. I also asked for mayo, ketchup and mustard on the side. Server said beef patties were 5 oz each. So I thought I should get a pretty large sandwich. WRONG. Restaurant must use 60/40 or 70/30 ground beef, as I kid you not, I could place both of those patties side by side to fill up the bun. Ordered medium and received medium, however the burger was so burnt on the outside, it was inedible. Should get lettuce, tomato and pickle? Nope just onion and sweet pickles. Sorry but if your menu says pickle on a burger, you should assume dill, unless otherwise specified. So I received a charred inedible burger, with onion and sweet pickles. No sauce. Had to ask for the mayo and mustard. Fries were half cooked and al dente. Fries should never be al dente! I picked everything apart and probably ate less than one sixth of my food. It was nice of the server to ask if I wanted a to-go box for the chopped up mess on my plate! This was the third time I have eaten here. First time was cocktails and apps on the patio. That was great. Second time was only for desert, as my friend received a free desert coupon for his birthday. When we arrived, even though the coupon doesn't specify, it turns out you need to order an entree to get your free desert. Third time was a total disaster. I have worked food service for 30 years and have never written such a lengthy review. Please tell me Kitchen 56, why should I return?
