I have been going to this Target for around 10 years and really liked it. However, lately it has been letting me down big time. First of all, although they have tons of checkout lines, there are only a few open whenever I go in now. They are trying to force you to scan and bag your own groceries, like Walmart. Whatever happened to customer service? I don't mind going through the self-scan if I don't have a lot of stuff, but I do NOT want to scan and bag a full cart! I talk to others in the (usually long) lines and they all are complaining about it. There's a brand new Frys about 1/2 mile away and always has a lot of lanes open! Also, if you have only a few lanes open, tell your cashiers to NOT be such chatty cathys!!! Nice girl who checked me out today, but she really liked to chat with the customers (and stopped working while she chatted), with about 6 people in her line. One more thing - I have always recommended Target's produce to people, but no more. In the store today I saw rotten (YES!) tomatoes in the bin, yuck. I purchased strawberries and blueberries, but when I got home and I opened the strawberries (just got home with them) to use in my oatmeal, they were ALL mushy/rotten to some degree. What a waste of money! I think I was able to use about 5 with cutting off the mushy parts. I will be shopping at the Fry's (which is actually closer to where I live) or at Sprouts. I hate Walmart and will not shop there....Target is heading down the same road with the same level of 'customer service'.
