A Shopaholics shopping mecca, this is the premier shopping area in all of South Charlotte's Ballantyne area. It is an expansive concept center laid out like a small city within a city. Anchors include Target, Harris Teeter, Marshalls and Homegoods. It is peppered with excellent restaurants throughout and includes a good mix of specialty shops. Originally intended to be a walking location for surrounding neighborhoods, it obviously draws from all around. Of course this means parking is scarce during lunch and dinner hours, especially out front within the specialty shops and restaurants. There is a very popular open green area outfront amongst the restaurants that includes a kids' area and outdoor seating. It also includes live entertainment at times. Other than that, the only real drawback is that, prominently displayed out front, is one of the worst McDonald's ever, which is amazing considering the area. I'll cover it its on review. Overall, I find myself here quite frequently as I live a mile or so north of it. I do avoid the Harris Teeter however due to its Pac-Man like maze of a parking lot; otherwise, the shopping area has something for everyone and I highly recommend it (but you're on your own at lunch time and around Christmas.)
