First of all, it was a Hotwire reservation and it was said to be a Downtown hotel. This place was across the river and it was a miracle that we were able to find it by driving. I was a nervous wreck trying to get to this place. The area may be "up and coming" but still is very uncomfortable part of town. It should have said "Downtown VICINITY" The staff was so so. They do have a shuttle that took us to the cog tram above the city. I did appreciate that as I didn't want to do anymore driving. The room was okay and had a great view of the city at night. The breakfast was underwhelming as they had already run out of eggs, OJ and pancakes and it was very picked over even though it was just 8:00 am. The breakfast room did have great views. Supposedly we did get free parking but I hope they didn't charge that or I will be very unhappy. Very few if any Holiday Inns are inspiring and this one was certainly not. I am glad that we didn't pay that much to begin with as it certainly was not worth much more.
