Poor Penguin, my how the mighty have fallen. I realize this place changed hands over a year ago now, and there is still some neighborhood resentment. That being said, we decided to give it a second shot.
Ok, so it was 9:30 on a Monday. I wouldn't expect them to have everything, but sadly they really didn't have anything. Out of black bean hummus. Out of the sandwich special that was written on the sandwich board in front of the place (which the waiter later said was supposed to be taken down after lunch). Out of ALL chicken.
That is what equals an epic FAIL. I have no clue how the place is still open. No food and only two other customers. The staff was friendly, that is the only redeeming factor. Unfortunately without food to choose from, we ended up going elsewhere for dinner.
