News alert: Brussel sprouts are hot. I am not going to lie. Whenever I see them on the menu, I get excited. So, I went to a happy place when I found them roasted with Parmesan, smiling at me from the appetizer section at Beckett's. The sprouts and their appetizer buddies really stole the show that night. I also had the Matzo ball soup and a vegetarian tower as my main entree, but those two items did not compare to the sprouts and butternut squash enchiladas that started the evening. The mac n cheese was a little fancy and perhaps not quite as cheesy as your dreamiest creation, but it also hit all the right notes of delicious. Strong start, including some creative cocktails and quality beer selection, a little intermission, but then, there was the grand finale. The desserts were perfect, not too sweet and warm in all the right places. My personal favorite was the fig and pecan pie. I may have to order one of those to be FedEx'd for Thanksgiving.
