I've been waiting too long to write reviews, so all I can tell you is that the food is quite good. It's four stars. If you want the best, go to Pomo in Phoenix, Piazza al Forno in Glendale, and maybe Bianco. The owner didn't think I was legit when I walked in. I came in for a late lunch, as usual, well after 1:00. It was quiet, might have had the whole place to myself. When I walked in, the owner did some kind of read on me and pegged me as someone who might be looking for a random pizza place, might not appreciate the kind of primo place this was. Picture a Mexican dude walking in in khaki shorts, polo shirt, nice sandals. Call it a graduate student uniform, or an Arizona uniform, but maybe it's a big departure from the normal North Scottsdale lunch crowd. Anyway, I sensed the vibe come from him -- he thought I didn't know what kind of place this was. So we were talking, and I mentioned that I'd been to Bianco and Humble Pie, that I took Alan Richman's Top 25 pizza places in America and used it as a guide for my trip through the northeast (try Bob and Timmy's in Providence, RI -- they grill their pizza, man). From this, it seemed like he understood that I was a serious individual, someone who was there for the real thing.
