My husband and I love cold stone. However we will not be returning to this location. Tonight (11-30-16) we came to the location inside concord mills before a movie, we made our order and received our cups and waited while our card was being processed- the machine was having problems connecting to a host and the transaction wouldn't go through. We tried 5-8 times with no success. The manager was called by the two girls working who were as polite as possible, and the girl on the phone turned to us and asked us to go get cash out of an ATM which would have cost us 5.50 in fees and we would miss the movie we already paid for. She asked to speak to my husband over phone and proceeded to tell us we "have" to go get cash from an ATM so we could pay, he said he would if they'd cover the ATM fees "it doesn't work that way sir" I explained that I would be in the next day making an order for my husbands birthday cake and I could pay them then if that was an option (I can't live with the idea of "stealing" I'm an honest person) and she rudely explained "places don't just have tabs you can run up"
Well lady businesses usually have functioning machinery and don't try and force their customers to go to an ATM and make them feel like they did something wrong.
We gave our cups back and left.
The manager cost themselves our future business.
