The Wynn is worth an occasional splurge. Best thing here is the pool area, designed beautifully, surrounded by manicured gardens. Main pool and hot tub are large and heated all year, with an amazing view of the hotel tower looming overhead. Mixed drinks are hella expensive at the Wynn unless you're getting them comped on the casino floor. The casino is nice here, but too rich for my blood. Shopping at the Esplanade is very expensive and high-end, but also very limited (I prefer The Shoppes at The Palazzo where Barney's NY is located). Dining options here are excellent, ranging from some of the best high-end eateries in town to more everyday casual dining. Rooms are pretty luxe, with amazing Strip views, comfortable beds and huge bathrooms complete with flat screens. Sure, a stay at the Wynn is pricey, but it's money well spent.
