I'm giving a three star rating because of a repeated problem that I have had with this company. My old roommate used to call to make the appointment for someone to come spray at our house. We had this done every month and it was a great price ($34/month after initial appointment). We were really satisfied with the service and the outcome. Once I began making the call to schedule appointments, I have had a lot of trouble getting in touch with anyone. I would leave a voicemail with my contact information letting them know that I was in need of service and I would not hear back so I would call a few days later. At one point, this past fall, I actually had to search for a new pest control company because I desperately needed service and I could not get ahold of anyone at Desert Sky after multiple attempts. I was not satisfied with the price of the new company or the outcome of the service provided, Desert Sky definitely has an unbeatable price and the outcome of the service has always been great.
I am now having the same problem again as I have needed an exterminator for the summer months. Last month, my call was not returned and so another roommate called instead and got ahold of someone right away. An appointment was set up for the following morning but no one showed. My roommate called again letting them know that no one showed for the appointment and so a new appointment was set for later in the week. Someone did come out and sprayed inside and outside the house, as well as outside the back gate leading to a nasty alley behind the house (this has been the typical procedure for each time they have come to the house, which I think is very thorough). Now, it is a month later and I am in need of an exterminator again... I left a message four days ago stating that I wanted to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to spray this month, making sure that I left my name and contact information. I have not heard back and I'm wondering what the deal is... I always pay at the time of service, I am courteous on the phone (it's not like I leave messages complaining or anything), and I have even started to tip the person who comes out for the service. I'm really confused about why none of my calls have been returned, yet my roommate can get ahold of someone? And it hasn't been just one time where my call was not returned, it has been multiple times.
I feel like I should be giving an even lower rating because of the poor communication of the company and I think I'm being pretty generous with my rating at this point. If there hadn't been problems with getting in touch with the company, I would have given them a four or five star rating... service is great and prices are very reasonable.
