Let's just address the elephant in the room up front - this place looks like a rural town strip joint from the outside. It just does. To those disappointed by the fact that there aren't any nekkid ladies inside, you can at least take solace in the surprisingly amazing fare that awaits if you score a table. And to secure a table, you'll either need a reservation or the patience to circle the lot for a parking spot and additional patience to wait comfortably on the padded bench in the romantically lit entry area. The prospect of said wait is a heck of a lot more appealing if you happen to be vying for a table on a Thursday night, ie while sipping on a half priced bottle of wine (so long as it's a bottle that's normally sub-$79 - you know, like Stag's Leap or one of the other gems on the menu). Another aesthetic observation - the interior is dated and cramped... and actually pretty fabulous. I'm not sure how, but it just works. It's intimate and cozy, in a very 1970s kind of way.
