When I'm looking for a place to work, finding a nice coffee shop in which I can sit down and ponder with some light background noise is what I need. In comes Second Cup on Main Street. Forewarning, I rarely order anything other than coffee, tea, bananas, and the occasional sparkling water, so defer to another review if you're interested in the food. I've been occasionally coming here for a while now. The mid-sized space is along iconic Main Street Markham. It has a fair amount of seating, which in my experience has been sufficient enough to generally be able to snag a seat. The baristas are always politely welcoming, and as I like to say, they're are regular human happy. It shouldn't take too many guesses to figure out where you can find non-regular human happy baristas. The one downside of this place for me personally is that instead of playing the mellow jams that typically stir my thinking juices, they opt for more of an upbeat kind of vibe. Maybe that's your thing and I'm just a sour puss. Anyway, great little coffee shop where you can sit and chat or get some work done.
