I had used Acme about 4 times, both for my rental property and my business. I thought they were great until this week. At my business, I had some locks replaced, which completely broke apart after only 3 months. They were under warranty but Acme wanted to charge for the labor to replace them. My husband asked the service rep to have the owner call him to discuss because he had just paid for the labor 3 months prior, and wanted to negotiate a lower rate since they were defective. Never got a phone call. Never got a bill. Now 3 months after that, I call for service on another broken lock, and they tell me we are a DNS (Do not service) account for non-payment. I asked what invoice I didn't pay, and she can't tell me, but explain the above scenario about the labor not being paid. I explained that we never got a bill, and never even received a phone call back about the service call. I asked if I could get the amount and pay it that day because that is not like us to not pay for services, I mean, we own a small business afterall! But she said they don't have the amount, or any invoice, just a note not to service us anymore. So I guess Acme would rather lose customers than return phone calls and get paid.
What a great business! (sarcasm) I will be hiring a better locksmith for my needs as Acme doesn't value long term customer relationships.
