This is an 8-mile trail that I hiked a while back with a group.
This hike is located in Sloan Canyon NCA and is accessed from urban neighborhoods in the Anthem and Horizon Ridge areas of Henderson.
To get here, take 215 to Hwy 95 South, exit right on Horizon Dr. and immediately to your left take Horizon Ridge Pkwy south to Mission Hills Dr. (go South past Von's). Then go right at Mission Hills Dr. until the road ends at the trailhead. Trailhead & street parking available.
This trail connect Henderson's Anthem development to Mission Drive and Horizon Parkway through Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area.
It provides an excellent workout for endurance training. Great for running and biking as well. There is no shade but there are a few places to rest along the way. It was great experiencing Nevada's natural desert scenery.
