I attended a pilates class at this gorgeously girly studio, taught by co-owner, Guylaine who is a certfied pilates instructor. I totally planned to attend the reduced heat hatha flow, but arrived a little late (and i'll blame traffic for this one) surprised to see a few classes offered thereafter. So all was not lost, and I decided on staying for the pilates class.
Lucky that I did, as though I'm usually not a fan of pilates, Guylaine's presence and command was awesome. She was funny, engaging but still managed to convince a class of about ten entertained women keeping our bodies(arms, legs, butts and all) moving at the pace. If anyone, Guylaine has probably convinced me about pilates after all. She moved around providing corrections and tailoring the moves to suit everyone's level. Also in the class was Rina (co-owner), who seemed a little more challenging in her part instruction of the class. I'd probably take one of her classes when I have the energy for a little more work, or a greater determination to get Gwen Stefani abs.
YAP's ambiance is completely welcoming and clean, kind of like a bachelorette pad with a kitchen, lounge area and more magazines I've seen at a salon. I'm giving this studio a 5-star, not only for the amazing class, the best customer service I've ever encountered at a yoga studio, but also for the glamourously adorable decor. I will be back soon!
