The doctor here is AMAZING! We absolutely love Dr. Hope Ijaola ... however a few of her MAs HORRENDOUS! They tried to charge a $20 for an OFFICE VISIT when the patient was only seeing the MA to have blood drawn, he wasn't going to see DR Hope at all! We went to the Lab instead and they charged NOTHING to get the blood drawn. One of the Medical assistants caught serious attitude with me because I told her he shouldn't be paying since he wasn't seeing the doctor, as well I know how the medical billing works! I WORK IN HEALTHCARE!!!!! It is FRAUDULENT billing to charge a patient for an office visit when they aren't seeing the doctor and we are going to he insurance to see how many other times they have charged for an office visit when he only seen the Medical Assistant. YOU CANNOT CHARGE FOR AN OFFICE VISIT IF YOU DONT SEE A DOCTOR! Billing patients and insurances that way can land you in a lot of trouble and we are going to report it!
Due to this we are changing doctors but people should know about the incorrect billing practices!!! DO NOT PAY TO SEE AN MA THEY ARE NOT A DOCTOR AND THEY CANNOT CHARGE YOU! YOUR INSURANCE DOESNT PAY FOR TOU TO SEE MAs They pay for you to see DOCTORS!
