You know when your tastebuds just want something, something in particular, and there's just nothing else that will that satisfy them....Well, I was having big ol' RAMEN craving last night and not just any ramen, Clever Koi ramen. So I let my fingers do the walking and called them up for a takeout order and they were CLOSED...holiday. Insert sad face here. So I turned to Yelp for another option and stumbled across Cherry Blossom. My mind was really saying NO, just get something known and dependable but my tastebuds were saying YASSSSS. Based on reviews I got the TanTan-Men and just in case I ordered a side of the panfried Gyoza. I ended up eating all of both. The TanTan-Men had heat, not unbearable but just the right amount...my only complaint was while it had heat, it did not have a lot of other flavor. I added a little hoisin sauce and some salt and perfecto. It wasn't overly salty to being with. The portion is very big. This is definitely not as "foodie" of a noodle bowl as the Clever Koi, but it did solve my craving, and they weren't closed for the holiday so I tried something new. If you are searching for a more authentic less foodie bowl of noodles this is your spot. The Gyoza were excellent as well.
