We moved down here permanently last fall & tried several of the local coffee shops, but since we tried Carefree Coffee, no other will do. We come here usually twice a week, and we just love this place. Lars and Uta are always so welcoming, and according to my husband, Lars always makes the perfect latte. Uta , a wonderful source of knowledge of local events & people, keeps us well informed. When we bring our grandchildren for hot chocolate, Lars always takes the time to top it off with some chocolate art. Most important to me, the restroom is always spotless, without that horrible chemical smell most have
Since my last review, we no longer come twice a week. We now come at least 3 times, usually 4. I don't drink coffee, only tea & Lars has a wonderful selection. They have increased their food offerings & Uta does much of the baking. I especially love her German apple cake, and her vanilla cookies. The croissant sandwiches are delicious also. My favorite is ham & cheese. We have come to know quite a few of the regulars here & we always feel welcome when we walk in.
