I know Rancho Sierra Apartments. 10 years ago I happened upon them, probably like most, needing a place to move to on short notice, and after this month, I am moving, again on short notice. In between I have found my 10 years in my studio apartment at Rancho Sierra to be one of the best places I have ever lived. It starts with the office and maintenance staff--which is excellent and friendly. There are genuinely good people working in the office--they take the trouble to get to know you, they are socially active and aware, initiating complex-wide efforts to recycle or prompting a food drive during the holidays. The maintenance crew is uber-efficient and equally friendly. The grounds are fantastic--tall, towering pines give areas between apartment building a shaded, courtyard feel, and the landscaping is wonderful. "My" pool, one of three in the complex, is daily maintained, never too crowded, and only a hundred steps away. I have never had an issue with the facilities in 10 years (and the one time I caused the issue by losing my pool/laundry room key, the office that very day replaced it with a smile). My apartment has been perfect, with the kitchen/appliances upgraded during my time there. I can walk to the local grocery store or any number of restaurants. Often in the evenings renters walking their dogs or out for a stroll will gather an talk. Any number of small, fun, spontaneous gatherings and cookouts have occurred during my time there, and I was always welcomed. I recommend Rancho Sierra without hesitation, and if circumstances didn't force me to move, I'd still be there.
