I asked the waitress if they used MSG in their food because I have a severe intolerance. She came back & told me that no one in the kitchen knew, so, to tell me that it was in everything just to be safe! So, basically, I could not order anything! I asked if they couldn't just read the ingredients if I picked an item and she said that no one in the kitchen could speak English, so, she would text the owner and ask him. She came back and told me that he said that they were not a ***** Chinese restaurant and no they did not use MSG. Let me lay some knowledge on the owner, MSG is in MOST batters for chicken, shrimp, etc. It is in marinades, dressings (ranch), chicken broth, BBQ sauces and in many processed foods which their restaurant is loaded with! I feel certain that it is in lots of their food and he just has no idea! FYI, owner, Outback has gone MSG free. Chic-Fil-A has now taken the MSG out of their batter and marinade. It is not just in ****Chinese food! It is a food preservative and flavor enhancer! Take the food allergies serious and don't tell someone its not in something unless you know for sure! You could send someone to the hospital or worse! Will never eat at this restaurant again!
