I came here for the 30 day intro special and went to about 12 classes over the month. It is a fantastic deal and I especially loved the mat rental. It meant I could just have a few sets of gym clothes at work and could head over on short notice without having to lug my mat around town! I also really appreciated the sauna during those cold winter days. I am now debating whether or not I will return as a regular here... PROS: - Very convenient and central location, easily accessed by subway and also close to lots of shopping and restaurants (I especially enjoyed post-yoga brunch at neighbour, the Beverley Hotel). - Lots of classes everyday to fit any schedule - Overall, very good teachers (some whom I recognize from other asthanga studios like Laya Yoga and Downward Dog) - Beautiful facilities - clean, lots of light, cozy tea lounge, lovely sauna - makes coming here feel like a treat - Details like lockers for valuables and water-filling station add a nice touch - Props and rental mats are in excellent condition and very high quality products (I love their wool blankets) - Service generally very polite and helpful - Offers spinning as well as yoga (I am not into spinning, but for those who want more cardio this would be a plus!). CONS: - 1 hour classes feel a bit short sometimes (I prefer 1.5 hours) - Classes are not offered at different levels. I think it is fine if you are an intermediate level, but I saw some beginners in some classes who were struggling a bit (the teachers do not break things down, and it is assumed that you have a working knowledge of the primary series... fine for me but I think it could be intimidating for others). - This studio operates more on a "gym" business model and in general feels a lot more corporate than other local studios. Similarly, I found the atmosphere was nice, but demographically it is definitely geared to fit, young professional types who dress in Lululemon head to toe. Nothing wrong with that, but it can feel like a fashion show at times and I didn't find it as inclusive or welcoming as places like Yoga Sanctuary. - Women's change room gets super-crowded during peak times (~6pm) and it can be hard to find a hook to hang your clothes! So, for me the pros still outweight the cons. I will probably buy a 10-pass and come back here when it's convenient. However, I am still going to continue frequenting other studios as well for variety and a more laid-back vibe.
