This review covers two aspects of V's Barber Shop in Chandler. Part I is a rating of the quality of the barbers. Five stars. The barbers know their business and do a splendid job of cutting hair at a reasonable price. Part II is a rating of the effectiveness of making an appointment and timeliness of walking in off the street and getting a hair cut. On this, V's at the Chandler location gets one star. I recently had made an appointment for a haircut when V's first opens. I arrived 10 minutes early to find the shop closed and several people who had similar ideas of an early morning haircut waiting outside. No shop personnel arrived until approximately 10 minutes after the shop's posted opening time of 8 a.m. It was clear from the number of people who had been waiting to get in that it was going to be a long time to get a hair cut so I left and got my hair cut elsewhere. My advice: If you have time to wait for a hair cut, and I'm talking about 30 to 45 minutes before you sit in the chair, V's Chandler location is worth it. But if you value your time and respect that making a pre-appointment for a cut means something, you should go elsewhere.
