I came in yesterday afternoon after a friend suggested that I try a sample of Lancôme foundation. I'm thinking this should be a quick in/out visit because I know exactly what I'm looking for, I just need to be matched and have the sample made and labeled...oh how I was wrong.
I'll start off by saying that Will helped me and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He's the ONLY reason that I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I come in and go directly to the Lancôme section. It's empty but, in my mind, I'm sure an employee is close by to assist guests...nope!! I looked around and saw NOT ONE employee walking around to offer assistance. The only reason that I was able to get assistance from Will was because another customer asked him for assistance in the front of the store and it just so happens that the product was in the Lancôme area. I walked around and asked two different employees if they could help me, as the customer being helped by Will had a number of questions and was taking a while. The first employee only worked at the salon and the second employee, not sure what her role is, told me that Will was the best person to help with the Lancôme products. I waited 15+ minutes to finally be helped. That's not ok. Even as I was walking out after being helped superbly by Will, I tried to count how many employees were on the floor and saw NONE!! I blame management for this. Either they're understaffed or the manager is failing to ensure that employees are fulfilling their duties. If I need to come back to Ulta in the future, I'll more than likely go to the Rea Rd. location while I'm on that side of town. This location is more convenient but the majority of my experiences here have been terrible. As I type this review, I'm reminded of how I said I'd never come back after an incident years ago when I made a purchase on a clarisonic cleansing brush and wasn't given a receipt because the machine was broken. When I told her that I'd need a receipt because the item was too expensive not to have proof of my purchase, she told me she couldn't help me and I would need to call the customer service number because there wasn't a manager to help me at the time. I'm going to stop there because this incident took place years ago but it's evident that not much has changed. Y'all catch my drift. Don't go in here unless it's the last resort.
