JeansFirst specializes in suits imported from Korea. At our May 2014 visit, they were offering wool-polyester suits at $150, and two all-wool suits for $398. These were nice fabrics, and very light -- probably for the approaching summer season.
We were looking for dark blue pants to match the suit jacket that I had previously tailored. The sales clerk immediately found us a Hugo Boss pair of pants for $95, and hemming was included in the price. The hemming was done onsite in 15 minutes, while we looked around some other stores.
I have a history of made-to-measure suits (from Greek tailors in downtown Toronto who have since retired), much because my Asian build has required extra-short sizes. My wife and I now have Jeansfirst as top-of-mind of a place to consider off-the-rack clothes. If we can get a relatively close fit, the alterations will likely still cost less than having made-to-measure suits done.
