Say what you want about "I've had better" nachos", Nacho Daddy is my default go to downtown, when I don't need to deal with whimsical bars and hipster crowd and I just want a giant plate of delicious food and a margarita.
No, I don't think all the items on their menu are spectacular, I've ordered both BBQ and Thai something nachos and they were meh. BUT, the burrito bowls never disappoint, the spicy shrimp nachos are spectacular and my friend swears by their carnitas.
The house margaritas are delicious and if you wanted to try one of those weird Coke flavors from a fancy machine- they've got that too.
Sit at the bar or in the dining room and you encounter a hilarious mix of mismatched couples on an awkward date, girls of the likes that dance in party pits fresh off their shifts, deer in the headlights tourists, younger crowd having a good time bar hopping, and an occasional local like myself. Cause. I was downtown and so Nacho Daddy.
They are open later than a lot of other food serving place in DT (short of a casino coffee shops) and there are times of day you can actually park in front of the place, I believe it's before 10pm.
The crowd and the vibe is very all over the place, you never know if there will be a drunk girl throwing up in the bathroom or if someone will slap you on the shoulder and ask about "what's good here", but if I didn't like that, I'd live in Henderson.
