Should be 4.5 stars, but no way to give it that. The food is good. The bakery items are amazing. We had a party of five arrive at 9:30am on a Sunday, and although they told us we would wait for 50-60 minutes, it really was only 15 minutes. I definitely recommend getting there early on Sunday morning for brunch. They let us have free coffee and tea while we waited. The coffee and tea was delicious! The noise level was pretty annoying the whole time (bad acoustics and lots of people talking) so we had to speak very loudly to each other. When we got to the table, we ordered some pastries right away. The cream puff for $5 was delicious and when split 5 ways, it worked out. I would not recommend trying to eat that huge thing with fewer people. The cream was perfect and stiff, the chocolate on top was excellent, and the strawberries on top and in the middle were a wonderful surprise. The morning bun was also very good, although those aren't really my thing. It didn't taste overly sugary though and it was wonderfully fresh and airy. The food itself was not quite as good as the bakery items. The side salads all had a slightly overwhelmingly bitter tasting vinaigrette. The vegetarian quiche was delicious except that it tasted like there was either bacon or lard somewhere in it. My dish was the breakfast tacos and I substituted cheddar cheese for the chorizo to make them vegetarian. It was good, but was missing a bold, unifying flavor. It probably would have been better with retried beans to pull all the other flavors together (especially if you're not going to have chorizo). My aunt ordered a fried egg, which was, you know, a fried egg. The garlic potatoes received mixed reviews from our table - some loved it and some thought they were greasy and not crispy enough. I thought they were good and very well seasoned.
